Healthia has a long-standing commitment to the facilitation of student learning within the private practice setting. Healthia highly values the responsibility to support and promote all allied health professions, and therefore extends the company values and philosophies of Excellence, Empathy, Education and Everyone when we host student placements. With an extensive history of supporting clinical education, our aim is to foster and develop skills in a real world, private practice setting. Clinical education is an essential part of allied health professional training and is an opportunity for qualified clinicians to contribute to the development and growth of their own profession.

Information for students wishing to have a placement at a Healthia clinic
We have an extensive history with many universities and we collaborate with them to facilitate student placements. Usually, your university will contact us directly to organise clinical placements. We advise you to speak with your clinical placement organiser initially to see if they can assist you in organising a placement. Ask them to contact our Student Placement Coordinator at students@healthia.com.au. All of our clinical placements run in-line with the universities placement calendar.

We offer a range of placement experiences in various allied health disciplines in clinics all across metropolitan and rural Australia.
We are aware that clinical placements can be challenging and understand each student has different learning styles, previous experiences, goals and interests. We acknowledge every student has also had influences from different educators with different styles, backgrounds, biases and expectations. At Healthia, we embrace the differences and invite respectful, curious discussions around all types of approaches, teaching and learning styles. We hope as a student on placement in a Healthia clinic that you will embrace the differences too. We are committed to providing you an engaging, practical and challenging private practice clinical placement.

$1,500 Podiatry Bursary
We offer a $1,500 bursary to students who demonstrate commitment to rural and regional healthcare. Open to second year students planning on completing private clinical placement, at a Healthia podiatry clinic in their hometown or a location that they would consider working in after graduation.
Healthia would offer employment to the student during the end of year break for the following year of study and actively foster an industry mentor for the student in the hosting clinic.
