Integrated Leadership Program

Are you interested in:

  • Developing a framework for your own personal leadership approach?

  • Improving your ability to have influence in high stakes considerations and decisions?

  • Refining your ability to negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict within your team?

Then Healthia’s Integrated Leadership Program may be for you.

About the program

Healthia’s Integrated Leadership Program (ILP) is a tailored series of face-to-face and online workshops and masterclasses designed to inform, challenge and develop personal and professional leadership attributes specifically suited to the healthcare context. It fills the gap between clinical competencies and business training Healthia already provide through the Clinical Leadership and Business Leadership programs, enhancing your ability to lead with conviction in all areas of responsibility and opportunity.

The ILP is designed for:

  • Emerging and experienced leaders within our practice network and support offices.

  • Suitable for clinicians, practice managers, receptionists, and support office management

Key themes include:

Models and frameworks for leadership

Prioritisation and habit building

Sales by leadership

Styles of leadership

Recruitment and staff optimisation

Change management

Darkside of leadership

Team lifecycles

Conflict resolution

Vision and strategy

Empowerment of others

Effective presentations

The program has been designed to not only provide you empirical learning and core content in the science of leadership to better equip you for the responsibilities you carry in the workplace, but also to empower you more broadly as individuals in all areas of life and practice. The principles of integrated leadership will positively transfer into all areas of home, sport, community and professional life to enable you to live as an integrated whole and be a more effective contributor where it counts.

Healthia’s Integrated Leadership program includes:

  1. Two one day face to face workshops – delivered by Jason T. Smith

   2.  Four 90 minute, small group mentoring sessions with recognised experts and business leaders (these are held out of hours)

Cost

Time

The ILP requires commitment to self-directed learning, participation in group activities and the cost of dedicated personal time. The direct contact hours for the ILP is 25 hours over the course of the program, plus an additional estimated 2 hours per week in preparation, reflection, and self-directed reading.

If you require time out of the clinic/store to attend the workshops, this will need to be discussed with your clinic or regional partner or area manager.

Financial Contribution

Healthia subsidises the cost for the ILP. To find out more about your co-contribution amount, please click on the link below.

Please note, participants are responsible for any costs associated with travel and accommodation for attendance at the two workshops.

Frequently asked questions

I haven’t completed the Clinical (CLP), Business (BLP) or Practice (PLP) Leadership Programs yet, can I still do the ILP?

The short answer is yes – even if you have not yet completed Healthia’s other leadership programs, you can still apply to undertake the ILP. However, in most cases we recommend you have completed at least either the CLP, BLP or PLP first before undertaking the ILP. We strongly recommend you discuss your career goals with your Clinic and/or Regional Partner to find out whether the ILP is right for you.

I am not really interested in ownership, is the ILP still relevant for me?

The ILP is designed for anyone that wants to challenge and develop personal and professional leadership attributes specifically suited to the healthcare context even if you aren’t interested in business ownership. The best thing to do is to discuss your career goals with your Clinic and/or Regional Partner to help work out whether the ILP is right for you.

Is attendance at the face-to-face workshops compulsory?

The workshops are very interactive and involve group work as well as the opportunity to get to know those in your allocated small group. This makes the online learning sessions much more enjoyable, collaborative and informal. At this time, the workshops cannot be delivered online or in a hybrid fashion. That is, they are designed to be conducted in person. If you cannot attend the workshops in 2023, it may be better to wait until 2024 to undertake the ILP

Can I claim CPD points for the ILP?

Yes. Just like any PD you do, as long as you are documenting your hours, your key learnings and your reflections, the ILP is certainly appropriate to log as CPD hours.

Is there a formal qualification for completing the ILP?

No. Other than getting a nice certificate of completion from Healthia (!), there are no formal qualifications associated with completing the ILP.
